Email and SMS

Email and texts from your course, done by the rules

Confirmations and reminders go out on their own. Campaigns go to the golfers who agreed to hear from you, from a local number that belongs to your course. Carrier registration, opt-outs, and quiet hours are handled for you.

Confirmations and reminders that just go

A confirmation is sent by email and text within seconds of a booking. Reminders follow the schedule you set, for example an email a day before and a text two hours before. If a booking is moved or cancelled, the reminders follow it.

A local number for your course

Each course gets its own local texting number. TeeMarshal registers it with the carriers (the process is called 10DLC) using your business details, which is required for business texting in the US. While registration is pending, confirmations and reminders still go out from a shared, registered TeeMarshal number, and campaigns wait until yours is approved.

Consent handled correctly

Golfers opt in to texts with a clear checkbox at booking. Booking confirmations, reminders, and delay notices go to any golfer who gave a phone number with their booking. Marketing texts only go to golfers who opted in. A reply of STOP opts them out immediately, and every opt-in and opt-out is logged.

Quiet hours

Set the hours when your course does not text. Everything waits for the next allowed window, except same-day delay and cancellation notices that golfers need right away.

Campaigns and a shared inbox

Write an email or text to a segment, send yourself a test, and schedule it. Merge fields fill in the golfer's first name and a booking link. Replies to your texts land in an inbox threaded by golfer, and staff answer from the course number.

  • Email campaigns include a one-click unsubscribe and your course's address in the footer
  • Bounced addresses and complaints are opted out automatically
  • Text composer shows the character count and blocks sends outside quiet hours

How it works

  1. Enter your business details

The onboarding wizard collects the legal name, address, and tax ID the carriers require.
  2. We provision and register your number

TeeMarshal buys a local number in your area code and files the registration. Approval timing is set by the carriers.
  3. Set your schedule and send

Choose reminder times and quiet hours. Transactional messages start immediately.

Common questions

How many texts are included?

Starter includes 1,000 text messages per course per month. Pro and Group include 3,000 per course per month. Usage above the allowance is billed at our carrier cost plus a small handling margin, shown on your invoice.

What is 10DLC and do we have to do anything?

10DLC is the carrier registration required for US businesses that text from a local number. You give us your business details in the setup wizard and we file the registration for you.

Can emails come from our own domain?

By default, emails are sent as your course name through a TeeMarshal sending domain, with replies going to your course's address. On Pro you can verify your own sending domain.

Can we text golfers we imported from our old system?

Confirmations and reminders for their bookings, yes. Marketing texts only if you confirm during import that those golfers gave consent, which is logged, or once they opt in themselves.
