Google Business Profile booking link

Many golfers find your course by searching its name on Google. Putting your own booking link on your listing sends them straight to your booking page.

What you need

  • Manager or owner access to your course's Google Business Profile.
  • Your booking address: your custom booking domain if you set one up, otherwise yourcourse.teemarshal.com.

Add your booking link

Google changes the wording and layout of these screens from time to time, so the labels you see may differ slightly.

  1. Signed in to the Google account that manages your listing, search Google for your course's name. Your profile controls appear above the search results.
  2. Choose Edit profile.
  3. Find the section for booking or reservation links. Depending on your listing it may be labelled Bookings, Booking links, or Reservations.
  4. Add a link and paste your booking address.
  5. If more than one booking link is listed, mark yours as preferred.
  6. Save. Google reviews changes before they appear publicly. This often takes minutes and can take a few days.

While you are there

  • Set the Website field to your own website.
  • Check your hours, phone number, and map pin.
  • Add a few current photos of the course.

If another provider's booking link is on your listing

Booking links from third-party providers can appear on a listing automatically, sometimes pointing to a marketplace instead of your own booking page. Marking your own link as preferred puts it first. To have a provider's link removed, you generally need to ask that provider, and Google publishes guidance on how to opt out. Settings, Integrations in TeeMarshal links to that guidance.

Knowing what Google sends you

To see how many bookings start from your listing, add a tracking tag to the link you paste, for example https://book.yourcourse.com/?src=google. Bookings that arrive that way are labelled in your reports.

Reserve with Google: rolling out

Reserve with Google lets golfers pick a tee time inside Google Search and Maps without leaving Google. It is included in Pro and Group. Google requires booking partners to reach a minimum number of live locations before they are admitted, so this turns on after our first group of courses is live. Until then, the booking link above is the way to be bookable from Google, and it sends the golfer to your own booking page.
